Bob Rivero was born in New York and started his business career in the New York City office of KPMG as a member of the audit department and then advanced to managing operations. He had overall responsibility for the worldwide audits of numerous major multi-national companies and has had extensive management and leadership experience, having held operating management positions as a Senior Managing Partner of KPMG. He held positions from Office Managing Partner to Regional Partner in Charge and ultimately, National Senior Partner in Charge. During his career, he led nine different business units (both domestic and overseas). He has advised senior executives of the world’s largest international companies as well as numerous domestic middle market companies and has advised many middle market companies through their significant growth periods. His International Business experience is extensive having lived and managed operations in Europe, Latin America & Southeast Asia and his language skills include Spanish, Italian and some Japanese. Since taking early retirement from KPMG, he has provided services to CEOs with his own advisory firm, assisting companies in the development and implementation of strategic action plans for growth and profitability and, has mentored numerous senior CEOs as a byproduct of that process. He has also assisted major multinational companies in establishing operations in Latin America and Southeast Asia. During his years at KPMG he mentored many young executives who have become Senior Partners in the Firm and others who have become CEOs of NASDAQ and NYSE companies in addition to a variety of multinational private and public companies. His main focus at present is advising and mentoring senior executives in improving their effectiveness in their present positions. He works with three tiers of senior executives in an organization: 1. Members of the Board of Directors; 2. The Chief Executive Level; and, 3. the "C" level executives in the organization (COO, CFO, CTO, etc.) These mentoring advisory programs are tailored to the specific needs of each individual in order to enhance and develop those leadership skills that will make the individuals most effective in their executive role. In addition, as a licensed CPA in California, he is qualified as a Board of Directors’ Audit Committee Chairman. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of The Hackett Group, Inc. (NASDAQ), an IP-based strategic consultancy, bench-marking and best practices implementation firm to global companies.
